German recyclers optimistic about the future
Martijn Reintjes, referring to the results of a survey for the VDM, the German association for entrepreneurs in the metal recycling industry, points out that the sector in question is experiencing increasing profits. Nearly 89% of the association's member companies described their situation as positive and 92% of those questioned expressed optimism about the coming months.
The prices of the raw metal, which have remained stable, and the stable German economy have been the driving force behind entrepreneurs becoming increasingly bold in the market.
says VDM CEO Thomas Reuther.
VDM also noted its members' growing concerns about global political instability negatively affecting business.
According to the VDM, German metal traders expect an increase in raw material prices in the second quarter of 2017.
